Digital Nepal framework Under the digital Nepal framework, eight sectors are identified. Education is one of the sector identified by digital Nepal framework. Key education targets Ø Investment at least 20% of the national budget every year. Ø All school-age children to be enrolled in school the next two years. Ø 100% literacy within 5 years. Ø Use of ICT to be made compulsory in schools. Ø Use of E-library. Ø Investment for involvement of students in research and innovation. Key government polices School sector development plan (SSDP), 2016-2023 Aims Ø Investment of US $10.66 billion from 2016-2023 in multiple education areas. Ø Support from the EU for the program with a recent funding injection of NPR 700 million directly directly to the government of Nepal.
